THE “BETWEEN” LIFE

This post is for the week of OCT.29 – NOV 4
If you’re new here, every meme/challenge fits in the  narrative  or theme of my post.

Between summer and winter…
summer gets all my energy
like splashes of water reaching
new  heights
hibernation in winter necessary
for contemplation of a new direction
polishing  an untried creativity
(Sunday Trees, Random: the Good)

An island between the left and right side of the street.
A comfortable place not having to choose left or right!
Am contemplating if I prefer white above red doors
love that this small building is designed by its lines:)
(Random: the Random, Makro-Tex: lines, Thurs Doors)

(Between) Air and water
is seen in the sky’s reflection in the water
both so light and transparent
as well as life giving
– plants and vegetation –
life ceases to exist without them
(Weekend Green, Weekend Reflection, Fri Hunt))

Fri Hunt: Begin with R
Vegetable aka vegetation
glow = a glowing sunset (sky image)

Between a bud and a full bloom
is as being between promise and destiny
the beginning and the end
of the journey in human life
(Floral Bliss, Floral Fri Foto)

Between sun and shadow …
each has its merits.

Wished I had not been so focused on the sunset taking this shot in Lucca (Italy), but investigated what was behind that screen door… the Quest of every door lover🙂
(One word Sunday;:Orange (wall) ,  Tue Treasure, Tue Travel, ABC Wed.- Q, Thurs. Doors)

The most glorious of ’em all: in between day and night
that it may never be: day in, day out
that would be existing without a purpose!
(Sky Watch, Fri Hunt))

Thanks Dan – this post I prepped early for coming week,
because it otherwise interferes with the meme All Seasons I’m doing Sun -Wed., since I’m having guests and don’t know when they arrive and when they leave. Have a great weekend and week:)

    Wonderful episode!

  5. Your theme reminds me of a favorite children’s poem in Christopher Robin — ‘Halfway up the stairs isn’t up and isn’t down, it isn’t in the nursery, it isn’t in the town…….. and all sorts of funny thoughts run round my head. It isn’t really anywhere, it’s somewhere else instead.” (by AA Milne, my favorite children’s book author.)

  6. Wonderful photo’s as always… and yes, life in itself is the quest 😉

    Have a splendid, ♥-warming ABC-WEDNES-day / – week

Both hubby and I have a large flower folder, because we lived in Southern California with so many opportunities to shoot flowers. Now we live in the country side, on most days we see a lovely sky scape – perfect for a blog. The only thing that keeps me looking are doors. For that I should have lived in a big city or another country:):)

Love that shot of the old Italian building. Such pretty light, and the ornate iron door is intriguing!

  12. I love that Italian building, Jesh.

From a House hunters I know that the older a house is in Italy (it doesn’t matter how dilapidated), one pays more for “history.” I guess, I don’t respect history that much:)and if they hold to that in France.

  15. What I was told by my s-i-l years ago was that you paid taxes by how the outside looked. So there are houses that are old and look worn on the outside but are beautiful inside. Don’t know if that’s still true, but it could be.

    You’ve captured some beautiful images.

  17. Norm 2.0 says:

Those are nice welcoming doors – good find 🙂

  18. Between. I love your post, Jesh. Your images and words evoke magicalness.

  19. jesh stg says:

Thank you Norm. Going out for one of the birthdays of my grands has its benefits beyond making a child happy:)

  20. jesh stg says:

I saw it on TV, so the house hunters didn’t specify what exactly made the old worn houses so expensive. There are even castle ruins for sale! That would be a project even too big for me – it would take several decades!

  21. Lovely shots, that final one particularly!

Regarding your question at my post, yes, the city’s name has its origins in First Nations terminology. Adawe is its root in the Algonquin language, which means to trade, and it was given to the river before the city took that name on too. There’s also an Ottawa tribe, but their homelands were to the west, and they only traded in the Ottawa valley.
