  1. Hi there! I love Lichen. It’s so fun to photograph and study with all its colors, and shapes.

True, I “sacrificed” this pic, because I don ‘t like taking selfies, I rather look for doors😊

HI Deborah, I “cheated” with a filter of ink outlines. How are you doing with your photography? And how smoky is it in your neighborhood? last Sunday we were in Vacaville and the sky was worse than at our place. guess what, I’m /we’re getting my 11 year old grand for a week to do woodwork with hubs and painting with me. am telling myself not to heap too much on him:)

Thank you Yvette – it would be a great view for a small watercolor:) Enjoy your weekend too!

  7. Yesterday the sky was so smokey, but today the sky was as clear and blue as could be. I also heard that the Ferguson Fire is 74% contained and they’re finally getting a handle on the Mendocino and Lakeport fires. It’s showing here that that is true! Thankfully!
Those brave men and women fighting these fires have my respect, and prayers everyday.

Photography. I’m shooting, but #1 Grandson is older and demanding more of my attention and we spend more time reading, playing, and going outside these days so, I’m not on the computer as often as I was before.
That’s going to change real soon though. He starts his formal education by everyone else’s standards late next week but not by mine! He starts Kindergarten!
I can’t tell you how sad, and happy I am about that. This last 5.5 years has flown by. He and I have had so much fun together, and learning has been a joy and natural part of his life. I’ve pushed the alphabet, counting, colors, shapes, physical health, numbers and letter recognition, but I’ve taken all the sciences, history on a daily or event basis…at his and nature’s pace. Turning all that over to the school system is very hard for me, but it’s what my daughter wants for now so it’s what we’ll do.

Sorry, Deborah. This kind of change is hard! It sounds like you enjoy teaching or some kind of challenge. Ever thought on being a volunteer at a school or a homeschool? At least think about something to replace teaching your grandson:)

  11. jesh stg says:

Thanks Dan, at least it’s better than the ones from people on facebook, taken in the bathroom:)

  12. jesh stg says:

Like the kind of selfies you still can’t see who it is, lol.

I’m not surprised you’re more into trees, but I enjoyed your selfie too Jesh
