THE ALL SEASONS POST IS BELOW THIS ONE!
What to write with feathered pen
when only wooden planks to sit on?
dreaming of clouds of feathers
am floating with the wind
to amazing and unknown lands
ABC Wed. -Amazing
Could it be the past
of these double doors
protecting 16th century merchants’
treasures of oversees travels ?
Me thinks so.
Tue Treasures, Tue Travel Amsterdam, Thurs Doors
Oh nature’s scratches, circles, stripes
caught by my Opa (grandfather)
haha they’re really flowers
Floral Bliss, Floral Fri Foto, Nature Donnerstag
this grasshopper asking me how long he’s gonna live?
Nature Notes, Sat Critters
Sutro Bath is long gone
and this graffiti writing will not last either
“thank heavens,” my Nana would say
“it’ll all disappear in the water….”

Great photos – I was especially drawn to the flowers taken by your Opa. I also had an Opa who loved to take pictures – especially on his many travels; including many pics of flowers and landscapes.
I love the wall reflected in the water. The water acts as a natural filter. Beautiful image.
Thank you Dan, today am taking credit for the beauty in Southern California:):) I like that big block of cement – it reminds me of a boat.
Went to your blog, but I didn’t know where to comment – this Opa (my hubby, and Opa of the girl who holds the feathered pen) has travelled much too, but that’s not where he started being interested in photography, but it started here in California! Ah, Coronado beach if beautiful, but also the beach (more rough than San Diego) of Coronado del Mar, which is where we used to live only 20 min.from (in the street of South Coast Plaza) till 4 years ago we moved more to the Sacramento area.
Pleasantly surprised, it’s not every day am meeting a wordpress-er who has a Dutch background:)
Hi! I have done several blog posts about my Opa – under the grandparents category on the blog. I just realized that 3 out of the 4 posts in that category involve him (we were very close). Feel free to check them out if you want. One has a really old photo of him and his relatives. Lucky you to live in California – the beaches are so beautiful. Thanks for commenting back 🙂
With the cracks and broken bits, it looks like an old stone wall.
Thank you Dan – I thought the yellor and white made a great contrast in the reflection of the dark water:)
Thank you – I will look later at the posts of your Opa, when I have commented on most of the All Seasons photo links, the challenge I do from Sunday through Wednesday – you are very welcome to join – it’s for everyone! Great to have met you this way:)
Yeah, it does look like a wall – these are “leftovers” from Sutro Baths in San Francisco (don’t know if I made that clear in my post)
Sounds like fun – thanks!
Beautiful photos and words Jeanette!
Those doors are gorgeous!
Pretty shots.
1st one is amazing.
Enjoyed the captions with your great photography. 🙂 The first would be a great canvas.
Peabea from Pictorial Tuesday
So lovely!
Stunning photos all of them. The flower looks mysterious, I wonder what plant it is…
if only one could find the right words to write… thoughts can go all ways at the same time, impossible to write it all down

Those black doors are so cool!
Thank you Melody for hosting this new round❤️
i just read about he Sutro bath ruins on another blog — we certainly missed seeing them every time we were in San Francisco~ (of course it has been so long ago that the baths were probably new then (Ha ha, just kidding0.
We do live in amazing world and your photos are amazing. I also take part in ABC Wednesday…Coffee is on
Interesting that a lot of us are drawn to that wall reflection.
I love the old door, Jesh, but my favourite photo is of the little girl. The shadows of the tree and her expression really make it stand out.
Explorers!
Some very nice ornate doors. An impressive find 🙂
Thank you Norm – am going to show hubby that outside oven -who knows I can get him to build me one:):)
Love that you include insects in your nature posts..Michelle
She’s a real cutie! The reflection shot is beautiful. The skywatch shot is beautiful, too. Is that the Coronado Bridge?
Love the pier. 🙂
I love the photo with the reflection of the wall. Beautiful! Thank you for linking up today!
me thinks so too – and those doors are some of my favorites ever – love them
Your photos and prose are very enchanting and lyrical this week, Jesh. 🙂
Good shots.
Loved all the shots and the writeup too!

The black double doors are lovely. So ornate, yet not fussy. Great photo.
My favorite photo is the last one — of the pier. The color of the sky, the distant pier, the water. It all makes for a pleasing photo! The reflection of the remnant of the Sutro baths is so beautiful, too!
I love the doors. Very European looking. I have a whole collection of photographs of random doors!
Hello, lovely series of images. My favorites are the flowers and the grasshopper. Thank so much for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Love the grasshopper. I saw the first one yesterday. It was the first I’ve seen this summer.
The reflection is awesome! WOW! The water is so clear! Lovely photos!
As usual, awesome fotos. I love the one of the doors and the reflection of the wall in the water. Thanks for being faithful to link up at FFF! Hope you’re having a great weekend!
Beautiful shots!
