WHEN CLOUDS RULE

Clouds rule, for they have more power! They can move the sun out of the way. They cause shady areas. They can make so much rain that little streams change into big rivers. They dull or brighten colors and textures:)

When clouds rule they are boss. They decide which places are shaded, and where the light of the sun comes.
This tree is certainly On top, while I am Over the hill (don’t tell anyone!)

Giethoorn, the North Venice in the Netherlands
You see the “alley” between two houses. And every house has a bridge to the”main” road. It boggles my mind!

For Fri Hunt: Best Foot Forward
My son likes splurging on funky shoes and racing bikes …not to forget, travel. For the rest he’s a minimalist.

Clouds also know when to stay away! Taken from the car, which shows how flimsy some of the fences are here.
If the horses only knew how close freedom was!

Giethoorn is a place on my “Bucket List”. I planned to go there this summer, but I will have to wait for a year and pass on my way to France. Or maybe all plans change again …

Your hibiscus looks like one of mine. They are longing to get outdoors but will have to wait for a month as it’s snowing in Stockholm again today. Hopefully we’ll get something like spring temperatures next week.

Thank you, Jan, more have commented on this pic, which was an afterthought to post it here:)

Oh yes, we travel by car from Stockholm and out in Europe almost every summer and has so done for more than 20 years! The boring part of the trip is through all Swedish forests, but the rest is a enjoying part of the holiday. I love planning a trip, finding odd hotels and quirky villages, searching for things to see on our way. Giethoorn and the German village Worpswede are to places I would like to visit on a trip to France.
Nowadays I often book flights for my children so that they don’t have to be in the car (and no need for hotels) and my husband and I pick them up somewhere closer to our final destination. Last summer my youngest son, my daughter and her boyfriend flew to and from Münich when we had a week’s walking holiday in the Italian Alps. We had all their luggage in our car.

That first image of the tree is just beautiful! Love the bricks around the door. The horses are pretty. Thanks so much for joining Friday’s Hunt.

The image with that lone tree on the hill, I would have to drive 3 hours if I still would have lived in Los Angeles! Now it was on my way to the store:)
Are you holding up, teaching, farming, and blogging? I don’t know how you do it!
