ALL SEASONS -A PAGE TURNED WHITE

Hello ALL SEASONS’ Bloggers, Sunday April 16 – Wednesday April 19

Wow, you guys were fast last week! Most of you had linked up by Sunday night!! Thank you everyone for your beautiful posts!

A happy Easter and (belated) Passover to all who celebrate these feasts!

While making this one, I realized that I had returned to a very Dutch custom with this meme/challenge.
In the Netherlands when you greet a stranger on the road or in a store. or building, you say something about the day, like “Good morning,” or “Nice weather today” or “It’s cold today, eh?” The same, when you happen to see your neighbor across the fence.

A gallery with pillars in Balboa Park, San Diego, on the side of the open air concert

The spacious feeling of standing in the middle of these pillars, is the feeling I have with Easter. Not a black page, but one turned white. A new breathing space. Limitless. A new Freedom.

She is now twelve – our 4th grand, Lady Chatterbox – on this photo, I think she was ten. This year she had surgery on her cleft palette, a scary thing at a young age. Even though it was a little more than one day at the hospital. Her mom had the hardest part, giving her meds. every two hours (also at night) for a week. I was happy to help distract her from her anxiety about the surgery and focus on her hospital baggie I put together for this occasion with some artsy tools I knew she couldn’t wait to try out. She was always one who has lots to say, but am thrilled now everyone outside her own family can understand her:):)

For her it was a page turned white:)

Hope – if you have a bleak situation  – your page will turn white!

Our area is famous for the tree blossoms, and everything is white. There are some pinks as well but mostly it is white. Hope you like my whities!

  14. I like the idea of white as a liberating color.

The columns are fabulous to see! I pray all heals well with the grand daughter. Scary for sure but worth it in the long run.
