Hello Seasons Bloggers,
October Pleasures is open Sunday October 15 through Wednesday Oct. 18 till 7 pm, Pacific time.
Thank you ever so much for your beautiful posts. Such a variety of experiences – I love it!
Smiling when I see how much you ventured out to all kinds of other memes/challenges. When I started in2008 they were more focused on colors, but now a plethora of subjects.
Have you ever had that the week went by in a flash? I have had several of these weeks! Maybe because there’s finally a month with only one birthday to think of, the 10 x 17 feet painting is virtually done, so am having more unscheduled time …and getting done less!
Here I find myself being heavily involved in knitting an elaborate cowl with the inscription “Not all who wander are lost (from the author Tolkien).
Ready to see what seasonal experiences you are linking up this week!

Today it’s bright
today it’s splashy and loud
today we race against
time
to slow down
and wonder
why we were
in a hurry…
Splashy and dripping water
rising and falling
voices discussing laughing negotiating
loud clanging of glass and metal
full of life and gusto
Hurry, pedal to the metal
before dark overtakes the race
with determined restraint
This day ending
in harmony with dusk.

Time does seem to be speeding by! You’ve finished the Grand Painting!!! Yeah!!
Hope to see your finished cowl when it’s done.
I say Yay too! Was planning to post the cowl – it’s kind of unusual for me to wear such a bulky cowl but it will be warm in winter:) Anymore updates on your 2nd house?
It closed on the 27th! We’ve turned it over to our Property Manager hoping to find a renter and rent it for a year then move over. If we can’t get it rented in a month then we’ll slowly start moving over and have a week-end place until we can make the move more permanent.
I’m looking forward to seeing your cowl. I bet it will nice and cozy on the cold winter days, and nights.
Having closed is always a relief:) Didn’t realize you wanted to move that soon. Well whenever you come by here, on one of your trips, it’s an opportunity to get together, just let us know:)
Will do! 🙂
I absolutely feel I need to slow down, so I wandered around my garden this morning with my camera.
The time always flies to fast, but not filled with the thing, what I would like to do…
Wealways try to enjoy the little moments.
Have a nice new week
Congratulations on your painting, that is quite an accomplishment. Knitting sayings fit for a Hobbit Hole sounds perfect for the season.I hope you are staying safe from the fires, it is one more horrifying act of nature and/or who or whatever started it. People are still recovering for that little tornado we had last week.
I adore all those pumpkins, what are they made of? It’s finally looking and feeling like fall although there’s still warmth in the air and it will be in the 70s this week.
That final image is such a nice composition– very painterly!
Love the pumpkin bouquet….. October has been a pleasure for us so far….but I think cold wet weather is coming. Wish I could send some rain to Northern California.
Glad you hahd a good week!
Love the little pumpkins! Wonderful changing colours at this time of year.
Thanks for hosting – have a great week Jesh ….

It’s interesting to see we are importing orange pumpkins from the USA for Halloween! 😉
PS: And thank you for hosting!
Thank you for another lovely party.

The pumpkin bouquet is adorable!
I’m a firm believer that, sometimes, you just aren’t meant to get much done! I’m sure you will find some more projects for the coming months.
JESH– neither your original comment (on the crane) nor your follow-up comment mentioning the bluebird showed up on my blog. I accepted both for publication. Seems very odd! Thanks for the notice.
I am back from Hungary and i remembered to join you – just made it in time 🙂
Sorry for not participating, there is just not enough time while travelling. I am busy with my travel blog. Maybe it counts for a season blog… https://geriatrixcorner.wordpress.com
It wasn’t that long ago, that I thought time passed rather slowly, even when i was very busy. Now though, it seems to be zipping by much too fast.
