Amazing skies and mountains – I have grown to love our yearly Yosemite Nat. Park visits. Yet, very different stunning skies and Impressive (ABC Wed.) red and white mountains – that is Utah for me.

Seen from the road: Burnt tree trunk and wild flowers –
a great contrast at the beginning of Bryce Canon
harsh temps, not many flowers can survive this 108 degr. heat

  1. Good morning Jesh, Sorry I am late visiting you this week. Life sometimes just takes over. Thank you for commenting and joining Blue Monday every week.
We have been in Bryce Canyon and various parks in the area. It was a great trip as we love Utah for so many reasons. We skied in Park City dozens of times. Loved being there. Your photos are always a treat to see. Your Seasons posts are always so interesting.
    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs,
    Jeanne

  2. Great photos. Love the burnt tree trunk and wild flowers especially!

    unique beauty to that area!

  8. Pistachios says:

I always find something quite tranquil about seeing the sky reflected in water. I think it was worth the extra red to get that photo 🙂
Also, those yellow flowers contrasted with the dry surroundings – that one’s probably my favourite here

  9. felicia says:

    Utah is a beautiful state.

  10. Loved the Utah mountains and that lacy door!

House hunting is at a stand still. Nothing has come on the market we like well enough to go see. We’ll wait for the right house. 🙂

Hope you have a great week-end!

such an uplifting post – that is how it felt to scroll each image – from wildflower to tagged cows in the road – and a cool Lacey door with cool stucco – 😉

  15. jesh stg says:

During our vacations there I felt the whole time mesmerized by the beauty, as well as dealing with the overwhelming heat…do you notice, we both are getting into the “feelings” -smile:)

  16. prior.. says:

Love your cows…yes there are part of the US where they roam free, though not by the choice of the farmer…and I really like the lacy door. Very unique. Great post

  21. Al says:

Utah does have some impressive scenery – I’ve driven I-70 and I-15 several times.

  22. Eileen Wise says:

Hello, hubby and I have enjoyed our visits to the Utah National parks. What a beautiful state. I hope the cows are safe crossing the road. Thank you for linking up and sharing your critter and post. Happy Saturday, have a great weekend!

I love the red color of the mountain! Thank you for sharing at OBW.

  24. Gorgeous rock formation there in that first shot. Loved the old dead tree shot.
The Utah fence shot was nice too. – It’s a beautiful state.

  25. The ‘lacy’ detail around that door is really beautiful, I love the pale colour.

  26. I love it when cows take over the road. A couple years ago, the Husband and I pulled over to watch a rancher stop and guide back a runaway cow. He, the rancher, drove a golfcart. He told us that cow loved a chase.
I can imagine that burnt log in our front yard as a home to a whole lot of succulents. 🙂

  27. Teresa says:

Beautiful images! Utah looks like a lovely place. Cows are quite common on the road around here too. Unfortunately, they seem to be great escape artists. Thanks so much for joining me in Friday’s Hunt. Hope you have a great week!
