ALL SEASONS – HALF WAY DECEMBER (17)

Hello All Seasons Bloggers

This time of the year for traditions, specialties to eat, places to go, shop, shop, shop, meeting friends and family we have not seen in a long time, in short: a very unusual month!
For many it maybe mixed with not so pleasant thing or people you rather not talk to, but try to focus on the positive. Do not let anyone bring you in a bad, or depressed mood!

Many thanks for the links of last week. They were beautiful and special!
Also saw that many are also visiting other memes/challenges, so you haven’t slowed down  with blogging. (I did, lol!)  Have most presents for the grand children, and decided on a small food gift for parents and adults – seems paring down each year more to basics!

The link for this week is open from Sunday December 17 through Wednesday Dec 20 evening till 7 pm, Pacific time

This is the last All Seasons till Sunday December 31. The link will that week be left open till Friday January 5, noon, pacific time)

Have prepped my art site of paintings some more for presentation, so you are welcome to look and spread the news around! CLICK

In snow everything becomes a still life.
There’s  a reason for the wood pile. For Thanksgiving son in law asked us to bring some wood for their fire place. As you have read a few weeks before,  we have plenty now. Still, as still thoroughly city-minded person I had I never thought of wood to give to others, because they needed some!

Christmas is about THE GOOD NEWS
In this busy time, hope you don’t forget  someone you know or someone you see in the street who lacks food, clothes,  or heat. Bring that person some wood or coals and matches, or a sleeping bag, take him to a coffee shop, or ask what he or she would like to drink or eat. Or, help out in a soup kitchen. If you can spare a little more, go to the goodwill store and give someone comfortable good shoes, or a winter coat.

A pine cone – they kept falling off the trees last month. We didn’t clean them up, because the deer were eating them. Such a little inconvenience can mean so much to someone else.

From the Gold Rush mountains  together with this deer  we wish you a  happy Hannukkah, joyful Quanza, and merry Christmas

Thank you Joanne, wishing you the same!
(only not the complicated part) : am still in the choosing “where to be” stage, since on Christmas day we can’t be at 3 places at the same time, if they live two hours apart. Fortunately, we also have New Year’s eve and New Year, so all three parties will see us eventually:):)

By the way, I also happened to glance over the post about the driving. Hubby has driven everywhere in the world, except for China, because there were no driving maps (then available in English, but after a few days in Athens he gave up, and we went by taxi -crazy drivers!!!

Your flower paintings are beautiful… as is that deer! Wishing you a very Happy Christmas. Many thanks for all your kind comments this year xx

  10. Joanne Sisco says:

We have also driven in many places around the world – and some of it a bit harrowing back in the days before GPS – but Athens was in a class of itself 😳
