Hello Seasons Bloggers – this week the link is open from Sunday May 20 through Wednesday May 23 till 7pm, Pacific time.

The New Testament Christians celebrate Pentecost today (50 days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ of Nazareth).

Was surprised that so many of you linked up right away, last week, even though it was also your Mothers day! Really feel among friends! Thank you for your lovely and interesting posts last week!

Right now the temps are around 70 degr. F. (around 20 C.) and the most beautiful time around in the forest.
Just came back from my 4th grand who became 11 years old. He  is heavily into lego and drawing cartoon figures – drawing pad after drawing pad!
Boo announced to us that he wants to spend a whole week with us in the summer, drawing with me and working with wood with his grand dad.
“Are you sure??? You won’t get bored? ”
“Nah  … what TV programs do you watch?”
My mind was racing , thinking of any pre teen program I could think of!  Yeah, I see you chuckling! A new conundrum .
For the last 4 years we have been living close (closer) to them, and all of their short lives we have been a Thanksgiving and Christmas grandparent. But now they are kind of curious about how we live.

Love these flowers, because they are so intricate and of lovely design!
What are your favorite flowers?

Even though I often do not want the day to end,  a sunset like this
is like an generous gift from above.

Favourite flowers? Anything white. Gerberas, peonies, lilies.

  2. Carol says:

Your flower photography is achingly beautiful. Have fun with your grandson – make art, have cookouts, spend time together. It’s really precious time.

  3. Hello,
the Agapanthus ig great…your header image too!
And that sunset is a gift indeed. All flowers are my favourite, although I am partial to roses…
Have a wonderful week and thanks for hosting!

That is a beautiful sunset, especially against the evergreen. All very pretty flowers, especially the brugmansia, it’s a bit unusual and eye-catching.
I bet you’ll find things to do and if he’s interested in board games or cards you’re golden. I’ve had a lot of experience with boys so here are some of the things we did: go-carts, lake, splash park, water park, beach, pools, picnics, zoo, baseball games (any level), plays in the park, sundae making, creative snack making/shopping to sneak into the movies, movies, baking (even if they barely help), cookie decorating, mini golf, water gun and water balloon fights, a trip to the Dells (that includes many of the above including candy shopping and fudge), camping (even if in the yard), and one of our favoirte games, shoppin for camping/picnic stuff with the quickest shopper putting in the most essential stuff winning. (I always won because I got water, you’d think they’d learn, lol.)
They can also pick out/rent movies and/or games which I never encouraged. A game you can all play like Guitar Hero or whatever is popular and easy for everyone. But I think you have a leg up because he wants to draw and paint with you which none of the boys wanted to do past age five (:

  5. Your flowers are beautiful! It’s cool that your grandson wants to spend more time with you! He’s at a perfect age for that. (Although, yes, you might need to adjust your TV habits… though, too, you might be surprised to find out how much he knows ;>) (My oldest great-grandson just turned 11, so look how much older I am than you!!!)

You must be really cool if your grandson wants to spend so much time with you! What a special gift … Your flower shots are lovely – a former neighbor in Ohio has a brugmansia, and I was always so amazed at its display. My favorite flower is the Calypso orchid – I have written a couple of posts about it in the past! Thanks for hosting All Seasons!

  7. Lovely flowers!
    Have a great week!

  8. What a pleasure it must be to have your grandson spending more time with you and actually being interested in your activities, Jesh! Favourite flowers? All of them, I’m an inveterate gardener and botanist!

  9. ON THE YARRA says:

Blue flowers are my faves, Jesh. They are often exotic and unusual, but always a marvellous sight to see.

  10. Klara S says:

All of the pictures are beautiful, but the first one is my favourite.
    Thank you for hosting.

    Thanks for hosting, Jesh!

  12. Love those trumpets and the sky. Eleven years ago we bought a second home in Illinois to be close to our daughter and granddaughters. The oldest just graduated from 8th grade and her sister is a year younger. Travel back and forth from our Florida home has become wearisome and stressful, though we love their company. We decided to sell the Illinois condo and had it under contract the 4th day on the market. Now hurrying to pack up and get back to Florida. There is a new hotel right near our daughter’s home so we can still look forward to visits without all the encumbrances of ownership.

Lovely flowers. I am so happy that spring is finally here. It’s taken its own sweet time here in Coastal BC. – Margy

  14. That sunset was glorious! My Agapanthus are just starting to open. I can’t wait for my Hydrangea to bloom! I love them. Yours looks beautiful!

  15. Such dreamy shots. I have never seen Agapanathus photographed so beautifully. There are so many flowers that are my favourite, hydrangeas are definitely within the top 5. So many beauties to inspire you 🙂

Thank you Deborah! Hope you’re going to take some shots of your flowers? For sunsets and skies and trees am living at the right place – buildings not so much!

  17. Thanks for sharing a few of my favorite things – floral blooms and a dreamy sunset. I feel relaxed just looking at these images.
