ALL SEASONS – MAY 13

Hello All Seasons bloggers,

This week the link is open from Sunday May 13 to Wednesday May 16 till 7pm, Pacific time.

Thank you bunches for last week! Loving your posts, keeping up with opposite seasons – that’s the fun of this meme! Hope you know that ALL of your experiences are worthwhile to read, whether they are enjoyable, agonizing, ugly, or beautiful!

Where I live,  the devastation of the 5 year drought  (according to Wikipedia 2012-2017) took a year, and in sometimes longer for some flowers or plants  to come up from the ground, and trees to bloom. Have more than I thought of around my house – which makes me very happy!

TO THE MOTHERS AMONG US – HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Iris  – a pleasant surprise when I found her blooming. The first time in four years! She has the mystery of a well equipped warrior, wielding her swords with ease. My 24 x 24 inch painted iris in the post of my Artnotes page on the 24 x 24 inch flowers, CLICK

Since this Sunday is Mothers Day here, this is a mother I admire.
She has business  skills in her fingers. Now she home schools
her oldest (not this little girl), when she saw him faltering
in school.  Am almost certain that is not what she had counted
on to do, but made a sacrifice. Am sure that there are
some mothers here  nodding in agreement.
She chose to  invest in the future!

Right now yellow trumps along the roads during the day:)
How do you call these …wetlands?

In the evening we are often wowed by a rosy sunset,
before night sets in.

We like to hear or see a photo of a story of a mother if you have one!
It can be yours, or that of some one else.

Isn’t it amazing what water can do to transform a landscape? Stunning iris! I just got phone calls from both of my kids to wish me Happy Mother’s Day, and I am still a little tearful. It is worth every sleepless night and other sacrifice …. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you out there.

    Thanks for hosting, as always!

That is something, your iris is blooming after four years, is that what they do? I love those colors. I’ve never seen turnips growing anywhere, now you make me want to get some lamb stew going. It’s going to be time to get the crockpot out because it is going to be HOT and we got robbed of our spring. Yes, the 80-degree weather is back and my ac/heating unit is very confused. I don’t really like using the stove anyway cuz it’s such a pain to clean.
Yes, that Rome pic is from the sixties, didn’t think I was that old, did you, lol!
Hope you had the happiest of Mother’s Days my friend.
