ALL SEASONS – ST PATRICK’S DAY MOOD

Hello All Season Blogger Friends!
The link this week is open Sunday March 18 through Wednesday March 21 till 7pm, Pacific time .

NOTE: the linky list keeps giving the “wrong” date – tried to change it 5 times, but it’s a computer, it can’t think.  The link will be manually closed on Wednesday 7 pm.

Your posts of last week were lovely, great shots and interesting  experiences! Wow, it doesn’t get any better than this in blogland, know you all!

GREEN in honor of St Patrick’s Day! Do you, or have you celebrated it?

Never can get enough of hills and mountains, especially now I live in them. Snow may not be the most comfortable weather condition, but one of the prettiest. Here, spring is the most beautiful season, since all the hills and mountains are green,  the leaves are coming back on the trees, and the snow of the highest mountains and everywhere water is trickling down to the lowest points between the hills. Am really looking forward to the last part.

Is “it” there yet? With one eyebrow raised,
Nope, I still have some brown patches, mumbles Mr. Hill

Hold on …  are you still not ready yet?
But I’m comfortable, protest the moss.
We need leaves, the trees tops whisper

Can’t you do better than this?
Am trying, am trying
to go green
Okay, I get it, but don’t cough in my face, bro!
the right mountain grimaced.

WISHFUL THINKING!
Around my house it really looks like this. Green daffodil leaves peeking out, but they can be told to go back to sleep!

Some more hail while posting this.

Weather change may be stressful, depending if you like or dislike the next season. One thing is sure, you can’t escape it. Unless you can have a long vacation in warm part of the world. Some Dutch retired friends of us do this for the whole winter. We are the more risky kind who like to go to the “wild” (in their eyes).

However you like to deal with your season,  make sure you have fun and enjoy it!

Here in south Florida we seem to be green all year around and the most dramatic sign of spring is that the Live Oak trees are casting off their leaves, making it seem more like autumn. We must rake them away from the storm drains and try not to drag them into the house.

My crepe myrltes have leaves now – a sure sign of spring. Yeah! In a couple of months the trees will be covered in blossoms.

  3. I agree with you: “Snow may not be the most comfortable weather condition, but one of the prettiest!”
    Well said. Happy Sunday!

For St. Paddy’s, we enjoyed a delightful night out in our town. Good music and pleasant company!

The green everyone was wearing will be the only green we are seeing here for a while – winter weather advisory tonight!

    Thanks for hosting!

  6. Thank you for hosting and I love your Green Story!!! And beautiful green pictures — and even the snowy ones. Although I remain your blogging friend who spends the whole winter in a warmer climate.

Frustrating if you’re anxious to plant something. I’m going to start looking for plants that will brave the cooler weather so I can restart my porch garden early this year. Very pretty mountain photo.

I was born in Ireland and grew up in Montreal. In my 20s it was fun to go out and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. But now I just shake my head at the people who dress in green and use it as an excuse to party.

    Mine is a little warped today… 😉

Great images in your part of the world. It’s exciting to see signs of spring that keep you going, even with some snow thrown in!

  15. Fine shots! I don’t “celebrate” St. Patrick’s Day but I remembered to wear something green this year.
