Man can build many impressive and beautiful buildings, Los Angeles Area
Simple straight lines in “glitzy” high rises may become stunning when nature’s colors are reflected.

Pine trees grow tall over the years, and don’t you love the large pine cones?

Flowers and plants which give us pleasure each summer.
Don’t these look like flames?

Time is a precious commodity. A beautiful dream can be shattered when a fire rages and destroy work and years of growth! Not only people suffer, but also animals and the ecosystem. What of a chance does this tiny fly (left rose) have in a big fire?
(Makro Tex – up till 2 cm, Sat Critters))
Unfortunately I’m not stranger of seeing the devastation of a fire. In California we have fires each year. This summer at least 20 fires have been burning. One of which in Yosemite Nat. Park., my favorite area to paint plein airs.

What a nice post, – enjoyed each entry…
Lovely collection of photos — beautiful flowers! Thank you for sharing!
I remember the fires as a child. So sad, but then it gives also the land an opportunity for new growth. Have a lovely week.
Nice shots!
Nice photos!
San Diego has an Old Town section, which I enjoyed last I was there, what, 15 years ago!

Lovely images. Forest fires devastate in seconds what the nature has built in hundred years. Sad.
It has been a devastating year for fires in the western half of the continent. I hope it settles down soon.
Lovely images in this post 🙂
Wonderful color and light on those old town shops 🙂 Lovely.
I love seeing the red pokers. Great color! Thanks for linking up today!
Too many fires here in Oregon this year — it is so dry! i love the red poker plants and love Old Town San Diego (I think i forgot to say that in my comment on your ‘All Seasons’ post above)…… your macro shot is also excellent.
Time certainly is a precious commodity… perhaps one of the most precious of all, but most of us rarely think about it and assume we have an almost unlimited supply. Great post, and have a happy weekend!
Beautiful photographs. The colors reflected off those high rise windows are very interesting.
beautiful red flowers. i like that old building.
Hello, I am not much of a “city” girl but I do think the skyscrapers are amazing. I like the photo of old town Sacramento. The flowers are all beautiful. Lovely series of photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Nice shots! I wouldn’t mind checking out Old Town Sac. someday.
It’s funny that you mentioned lasagna in your comment because the one and only time I ate at that restaurant I had lasagna. It wasn’t very good. 😦
I don’t see many skyscrapers in my part of the world. Very impressive. Love the big pine cones. Beautiful flowers. Thank you so much for joining Friday’s Hunt. Have a great week!
Lovely Post for G

A truely beautiful set of photos, The mention of Yosemite took me back to 2016 when my Daughter and I visited , and there was fires burning then.
Take care, Gordon.
Never could get enough of Yosemite! It was our vacation spot for about 18 years, where Jacob and the “kids” went hiking, and I parked on a good spot on the trail to paint the little plein airs you saw. Have only been back once, after we moved to our present house. When there’s a fire there, it is scary!
Your low light Utah photos were truly amazing! Cheers, Jesh
We have a lot of pine trees here too. They are mixed with spruce as well. We occasionally have forest fires, but not very often. It rains a lot here, most of the time, or snows, so it is fortunate for us that we don’t typically have to worry about that problem. So devastating for the land, the people, the animals….it makes me sad.
