SURROUNDED BY TREES

May have told part of this story before.

On the balcony of Uyt ten Bosch is a door. At one time our bedroom door.
Moving here was an emergency situation.
Our second one was in two weeks to be born, and were without a house.
“Uyt ten Bosch,” – the old fashioned Dutch spelling for “Out in the Woods” – the owner had inherited from her mother or grand mother, who had been the cook of a baroness. The latter gave it to her, after she became too old to work. We figure, this house of the nobility was built in the 1920ties or earlier.

To finish our side of the story. The owner still lived in the West of the country, and needed to sell their house first. All house matters go much slower in Europe than in the States. We lived here for one and a half years.

This forest lane covered by the shade of these trees. Most often with
some mist lingering. The COMFORT of trees surrounding
after a life too busy and carrying too many hats,
in the anonymity of the forest.

A Door also thought to be a comfort, but definitely an American building style. Wood and siding is not what one often sees in W- Europe.
The sign says the Baptist Catholic Church – that one would also not be seen in Europe.

The time they appeared was like a trumpet announcing
Easter.

While living in the house above, our neighbor had chickens, ducks or geese, and turkeys. Our second one who was born there, was very investigative as a toddler. She let out all the neighbor’s chickens out of the pen!
My neighbor was dumbfounded when my toddler was laughing when she reprimanded her. Horrified back then as a young mother, but now this “child” has MANY chickens of her own and has a 6 feet high fence around the pen, telling her oldest to securely lock the pen. Funny, how history repeats itself.

Not to get too contemplative and serious, Makro-Tex (LOOKING UP) gives me the perfect reason to lighten the mood to fun and relaxation:) This Ferris wheel is stationary feature at a shopping area in Irvine, CA

 

 

 

In Holland there are often strong winds. Fascinating to see high winds transform the clouds
