WHICH WAY?

snowy2-path_4348Is this the path? It’s not always clear.
Luckily I see tire tracks….

Pretty stoked I live around the snow line and can walk while snow is falling without anyone around,  shooting pics till my fingers are numb.

Sometimes our path is so modified, that others don’t recognize it, like this barn and fences that I took through a couple of filters:
diffuse, grain, and  reduced contrast

The path also becomes more evident when we see a door we can enter (the right door, of course!)

I would prefer Mediterranean weather too, Jo:):) But living in the woods is much more peaceful than in the metropolis of Los Angeles! Guess, I can’t hove both worlds at the same time:, lol.

  4. DailyMusings says:

  7. jesh stg says:

Thank you Deborah – the first pic is in front of the studio/ barn, It looks better from the side than the front though. that barn is on LaTrobe road, a very windy road (From Sac. toward Jackson, but lots to see, especially now there is water at several places:)

You’re welcome Narami! Hope you can pay for that window:)

  18. Wowza! My favorite photo is the farm with tracks and fence and, and, and. I love it!

  19. I’m partial to the barn – handsome. 🙂

  20. I began by being sure the first photo would be my favorite, but I love them all. The hazy feel in the barn photo is wonderful.

  21. Lovely! Love the last photo especially!

  22. Norm 2.0 says:

Love the courthouse shot (of course!) and that first snow pic, even though we’re getting sick of snow around here 😉

  23. sharon says:

I especially love the photo of the barn and the way you used filters. So lovely!

  24. Beautiful photos, Jesh. That’s a great one of the little squirrel, but my favourite is the filtered shot of the barn, it’s lovely. There’s so much in it, in a subtle way. That tree at the back looks like it was struck by lightening.

  25. jesh stg says:

Thank you, Janet! Happy you like the barn – there are not too many around here that size. Photoshop is my big friend in prepping my post. My strategy is to organize is getting all the challenges of the week in one post, but often the way I took the photos conflict in certain ways – one too bright or too sharp, etc.

  26. Sue says:

Hello Jesh, all your photos are really great. I love that the spiny thorns at least show a bright yellow flower of warning! Cute squirrel, and your sky with the tiny areoplane is so dramatic. Cheers !

  27. Eileen says:

Hello, the first snowy scene is gorgeous. Love the doors and sky shot too. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!

  28. Jesh there were some great photos here today. I so enjoyed the beauty of your snowcovered path (even though I’m tired of winter). The squirrel made me smile ,they are such comical creatures. Loved the spot of color with the yellow thistle. The barn/fence scene was gorgeous. – Sorry I haven’t posted to Seasons in a long time. The bad weather has kept me inside a lot so there really hasn’t been much to post. Hopefully soon.

  29. Peter B says:

Love the opening shot with the snow. Very pretty! The sky with tiny airplane is gorgeous as well. Enjoy your weekend!

  30. Michelle says:

I love that first photo. Thanks for linking up today!

  31. treadway says:

Oh, I so loved that first shot…but then there followed a bunch of others that I liked almost as much. Great series.

  32. Love that barn photo, and the first pic also. Cute squirrel too.

  33. Ruth says:

Ahh! Feels like this post was right for me! All those references to paths really hit home. The year has not started in a positive way. I am trying to practice patience and take things easy. Thanks for reminding me that the path you want to take may not be the path that is best for you. #TPThursday

  34. jMo says:

Still trying to wrap my head around what it’s like to live near the mountains and get the kind of snow in the top pic while living in CA.

  35. jMo says:

The top photo is incredible, btw.

  36. riitta k says:

  42. DeniseinVA says:

A wonderful walk in the snow you took us on. Looked magical! Loved the other photos, and the bright-eyed squirrel.

  43. The art(ist) speaks! Nice work(s)!

  44. Margaret says:

Are charming post with beautiful photographs. I love the little squirrel but I think you should be hibernating. It looks like a lovely place to walk in the snow. I love the last shot of the sky and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  45. scotiaspinner says:

Great post – your snowy walk looks wonderful. Here it is 5 Fahrenheit today, so still too cold for a comfortable walk, at least in my opinion, and we have a lot of very slippery ice under the snow after our recent ice storm, so it’s a bit dangerous for walking. Maybe if it gets up to 15 or so, then I will venture out. Perhaps later this week. The squirrel is very cute – similar to ours but larger and a different colour.

  46. Dan Antion says:

I love the entrance to the courthouse.

  47. Eileen says:

Hello, I just wanted to stop back and say thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

  48. jesh stg says:

Thank you Yvette – there’s so much to see already at your art page that I forget to comment on individual aspects that caught my admiration:) There is something to say for the definite boundaries psychology has for me, since art has none!! Have a lovely weekend:)

  49. jesh stg says:

Thank you Gordon! Hope you saw my reply respective of coming this way? Have a great weekend:)

  50. Thanks, Jesh. Rain left the Bay Area and is heading your way, perhaps snow.
