Haven’t started a post on a Monday for some months, so it feels kinda weird. They said this is a year of changes – when I look what happened this year at my blog, I agree.
Started a meme challenge in Feb.,
which forced me to do my regular posts starting from Thursday to the next Wednesday.
Ran out out space in June, and got this new blog.
Started a second page of ARTNOTES (Click) to display my paintings.
Now regular post back from Monday to Saturday.
Hope I can get through to the end of the year without any more changes!!
The high school graduation from our oldest grand last year, brought us to a different neighborhood in Sacramento, we had not seen before. On this side of the street some stately houses, but on the other side it looks like graffiti city. A glass door. Guess when one only sees reflections, it’s higher and further from the street, I would consider it, if I would live there …

On the side of a building – I think the most demure of all the murals we saw. Have no idea what is represented on the right … a worm?

These Orchids in the botanical building of Balboa Park San Diego got my Oooohs and Aaaahs – the Ultimate – Some Fancy flower!

Four wooden wall hangings have been traveling with us, as a momento of our apartment in The Hague, Holland, which was in a big building at the beach, built somewhere around 1930 ( guestimating.). Am happy we preserved a piece of history since that building at the beach is no more!
Our living room back then had bay windows with stained glass, and these wooden sculptures were connected to the pillars in between the windows. Am showing this one, about 5 inches tall. called “The Politician,” since it’s the election year.

Visiting a friend of my daughter who was recuperating from a brain injury, lost her job, but had just found the cutest little house on this property to rent for $500 a month. In California that’s a steal!
For Tue Texture, ABC Wed.-S, Fri Greens, Sat. Critters
Usually I remove electricity lines, but decided to leave them in here, because they add interesting detail.

The wall hanging is beautiful. What a good idea to have kept it as a memento.
Well I love the beautiful house but I don’t think I would want to live across from that mural.

Great photos! A $500 house anywhere in California is a steal.
Plenty of changes going on around here too! Including a WordPress blog in the pipeline which will make you happy as you will be able to comment and if you like orchids you will love where we’re moving to next year – Bangkok. There will be loads of orchids for your delight I’m sure. Love your politician, the wooden one!
Have a lovely week!

The telephone wires look like they are holding up that heavy cloud.
Yes $500.00 is quite a STEAL. I hope your friend recovers quickly.
Nice set of photos! You have to tell me where you found a rent for $500! #OurWorldTuesday
Such beautiful pictures. You take really nice, detail pictures. And living in such a place for $500. She is one lucky girl.
Hello Jesh, We were traveling all day yesterday to arrive home from FL late last night. We came home to a full day of obligations, thus my late comments to my Blue Monday friends.
I have to say your photos and the way you present them are always stunning. You are also an artist of blogging. I mean it. The beautiful home is lovely, the mural is a hoot and the horse is so pretty. I too think the landscape should have the poles left in the photo. The wooden face is unusual and I can’t believe anyone could find an apt. $500 in CA. Lucky duck.
Have a great week and happy Blue Monday.

Annoying how life gets in the way of blogging!

What a beautiful creature jesh! And the mountain shot is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing this with ToT!
Just enjoyed a lovely browse of your new home, links took me here via about three stops. 🙂
Nice shots 🙂
The cloud in your bottom photo looks like it’s rubbing its tummy on the pole as it floats by. lol.
I wonder if that whirling thing on the right is one of the tree’s branches. I love going through the old big houses, but wouldn’t want to live in one. Who knows what ghosts may be lurking.:-)
That white house in your first photo is so beautiful. Very unusual. Is the worm-like mural a tornado, by any chance? Do you get them there?
That is a beautiful entryway! Wonderful view with the horse. Love the orchid blooms!
As for the mural, it looks like a tornado to me
happy for your friend to find that place! love the grand home and the mural, too.
What a great gallery! That house is gorgous.

It’s like the clouds are balanced on that telephone pole! I like the opening shot too of the victorian home. Beautiful!
You’re the second one who suggested that “thing” on the grafitti wall could be a tornado! So maybe it is:)
Had to look up if California had tornados:) Yes we have, but they seemed to be more prevalent in the first decades of the 1900, and seem to occur less and less.
Earthquakes are the big thing here, because the Andreas fault line. We had 2 major ones, and some smaller ones in Southern California. I have no idea how it would be here, in the mountains.
Exactly!
Wow that house is stunning. – Beautiful Orchid, Gorgeous scene with the horse/fence.
Hello!:) Great set of photos! Love the horse in the field shot, the house, and murals.
Hello, wonderful post. I love the cute house. The mural is awesome, I was thinking the side piece was a broken branch. The orchid is beautiful. I love the horse scene and the view of the sky and mountain. Great photos. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Lovely shots, and being from texas, that thing on the right on the graffiti looks to me like a tornado.
I’m glad your daughter’s friend found a place that’s affordable, here’s hoping more luck comes her way.

We used to get tremors and had a couple of small quakes while we lived in Spain but not too scary. I’m glad that we don’t have them here in Ireland – yet. 😮
The orchids are just beautiful. I love the horse picture – very peaceful, and what a wonderful thing for your daughter’s friend to enjoy.
I am not happy about change either….Lovely photos….Michelle…
Another great collection of shots, Jesh. Travel is one of the pleasures in life.
Thank you for taking part in the Travel Tuesday meme, hope to see another of your entries there this week!
That is a lot of changes. It looks to me like the mural is of a tornado on the right. Nice artwork. Love the image of the horse. It looks quite peaceful. Thank you so much for joining Friday’s Hunt. Hope you have a great week!
A happy Thanksgiving to you!
Orchids are always a show-stopper, Jesh!
Thanks for taking part in the Floral Friday Fotos meme.
I love the muted greens of the fields in the horse photo, Jesh.
Thank you for linking up with the Friday Greens meme.
