Corona del Mar coast -only realized when I reduced the contrast of this photo we were standing above the rocks (left) where all the sea lions,  pelicans, and birds congregate

McKenzie had her birthday a week before the 4th of July. Am surprised she likes dresses now. This girl is always looking for some animal or “bug.” The other day she picked up a lizzard. When it bites her, she yells “ouch,'” then picks it up again.

Good for her, but maybe cool it when it comes snakes. I love how the light casts an orange glow around the hand holding the cupcake. I hope it’s not the last flower, it shouldn’t be for you anyway. Have taken a lot of day trips last week and even went a bit north today. Almost no change in color here yet. It was in the low 80s today, so summer is hanging on by it’s fingernails.

I love how kids don’t know the prejudices and fears that we adults have. It’s sad to see the flowers go for the year, but it gives you something to look forward to after winter 🙂
