SEASONS – THE LAST of JULY 24-27

SeasonsSummerFallWidgetBlog2_4269 copy Hello Seasons Friends

The photo link is open Sunday July 24 Wednesday July 27

Hurrah, so many of you found the new location and left all kinds of great, interesting and beautiful posts to read! I love that you have started visiting each other! Thumbs up:)

This post of SEASONS – whenever possible  – like to just walk on the beach and find things from the ocean – the timeless of ebb and flow rhythm – carrying objects, shells, plant matter to the shore of sand and rocks. So many textures!

My souvenir from the sea.
You can make so many things from shells. (You may copy this idea:) ) the smallest pieces are jewelry beads and black gravel stones. Use the epoxy for mosaics as a base in the frame, and in between the shells.
If you like to hang it outside put a few coats of varnish on it.

  1. I like your shell mosaic! Hope lunch was yummy! I stopped at Mel’s Diner in Jackson for dinner tonight. I was thinking about you. Were your ears ringing? 🙂

  2. Brooke Neal says:

We love collecting sea shells, coral that has washed ashore and we always take a jar of sand home with us. We’ve quite a collection!

  3. Hello Jesh, wonderful seaside images!
Thank you for hosting SEASONS! In these weeks/months I participate seldom in link parties, because I don’t have much time, but I definitely wanted to say hello and tell you I have now found the new location. 🙂
    Have a lovely day!

  4. KL says:

What sort of frame is that for the shell mosaic? Any ordinary photo frame? I really liked it. I will definitely try to copy it :-). I have entered the season meme but not sure if it has come up or not.

  5. Cool photos! I especially like the photo of the boat. That’s a neat idea with the shells. I ought to try that with the Mama’s collection of tiny shells.

  6. jMo says:

That boat looks like it’s begging to be used so it can take on water first chance it gets. Great photos, love the seashell art.

  7. Pat says:

I love your sea side photos and can almost smell the salt water.Your shell mosaic is very pretty! I lived near the Atlantic Ocean for most of my life but now I’m landlocked in the mountains. Instead of sea shells I look for arrow heads. Have a great week!

  8. Mascha says:

Wonderful sea impressions, thanks for sharing.
I’ve collected many shells 35 years before, I safe them until today… (and I wish, I could be by the sea again, before my life ends – )
    Have a nice new week

I love the sea. And I love the last image – just beautiful!

  12. Enjoyed your sea pics. It’s nice to have a reminder of a good day out.

  13. tgeriatrix says:

Great pics! I love the waves between the rocks.

  14. Mitzi says:

The grandkids and I collect seashells whenever we take a drive down to the beach, which I’m afraid has not happened this summer. There are lots of water advisories, and of course all of the thunderstorms…doesn’t make one want to take a long drive only to get rained out. Lovely photos! Love the wooden boat! (PS. I’m on a different blog today…and probably permanently)

  15. Jackie S says:

The beach is one thing I do miss from when I used to live in California. Thanks for visiting my recent post and updating me on your move. Lovely photos.

  16. Al says:

I love the ocean, sometimes I wish I lived near it.

  17. jMo says:

Good idea about the thermometer, triple digits, that’s nuts. Roasted nuts.

  18. Nice beach shots! Great job on the mosaic.

  19. jesh stg says:

You could use any photo frame. This one hubby made, because then we could put as many coats of varnish on it, so it would stay nice when outside in all kinds of weather.

  20. Sharon says:

I laughed out loud at the last photo! I love that boat on the beach — so intriguing. You’ve inspired me to walk on the beach sometime soon!

  21. I really like your beautiful mosaic idea to preserve your memories from a day at the beach. My family and I love the beach, but have not been to one in several years. Thanks for your visit to my blog and blessings!

  22. Hi,
Love all your shots, but really love the one of the ocean, beautiful. Have a great day!

  23. Ah the ocean…I miss being able to visit the ocean. Loving the waves on the rocks, your clever and creative souvenir from the beach and the lovely shot of the boat. It was wonderful.

  24. Your shell mosaic is lovely. My aunt used to cover bottles with shells, they made lovely lamp stands.

  25. jesh stg says:

I hadn’t thought of that possibility! Thanks for mentioning the lamp stands:)
Was one of the boats you posted yours? I admit I skim read – bad habit, I blame it on my dissertation years.

  26. The blue and cream one, that looks like someone plonked the cab of an old fifties truck on top of it, is our wee boat. 🙂

  27. jesh stg says:

I’ll look at your post again later:)
